Brothers are really proud that once again our community has had the chance to host the Gallagher Australian Club Championship, showing off the best the grassroots game has to offer the code. Despite the late postponement due to TC Alfred, we were able to pull off a day to remember.

Curtain raiser matches featuring Roma, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast were a wonderful reminder of the connection between country and city clubs, and the dual headliners featuring Sydney University Football Club, Bond University, Eastern Suburbs District Rugby Union Football Club and Brothers Rugby Club showed off everything great about the club game.

Although we would dearly have loved to see Brothers retain the Bernard Power Challenge Trophy, our whole community can be proud of the effort.

Thanks to Gallagher, Rohrig Constructions, Built., Central Apartment Group and Alliance Airlines for sponsoring this event, and to Rugby Australia for the support right the way through.

And an extra special thank you to our Hobbits volunteers, 33 of whom showed true club spirit and contributing hugely to their rugby community.
