Girls Junior Rugby

The club has a growing Junior Girls Program and fields teams in U12, U14, U16 & U18.


Our Girl’s program is for players of any skill level who share a love for the game and want to develop their skills, have fun and build a social community. The girls participate in a Skills Development Program, then a XVs and 7s format.

Training Times


All girls training is at Crosby Park, Albion. If there are any changes to training times or locations, parents will be notified via TeamApp as soon as possible.

Register to Play in 2022


  • To register for 2022 you must use Rugby Xplorer.
  • The app is available for download via the Apple Store or Google Play or you can access it via the web at
  • All participants can then sign up/login and activate your Rugby Account to allow registrations and user permissions to be granted to Admins.

Once you Download or upgrade the App, or access via the web

  • Sign-Up/Login using your email and password
  • Login and click ‘Register’ in the left hand side menu
  • Click ‘Find a Club’
  • When asked ‘Who would you like to register?’ click on the correct identity to be registered. (Please note each player will need to be registered separately).
    • For new players click ‘Link a new person’
  • When asked ‘Which Club you would like to register to?’ see below for the correct club competition names and then type it in.



  • All Girls select Brothers Rugby Club Albion (Juniors) when selecting their club.
    • Girls who are participating in the 15 a-side comp AND playing in the Term 3 Girls 7’s comp – Select “7s Junior Girls”
    • Girls who are participating in the 15 a-side Term 1 & Term 2 comp ONLY – select “Training Only”

2022 BJRU Competition Structure

Term 1

Girls XV Skills Development Program

During February to March, the BJRU will run an Emerging Development Program for female players aged between 11 and 18, to introduce and/or further develop their rugby fundamentals to maximise their potential for playing all versions of the game.



  • Round 1 – 20 Feb at Sunnybank, 470 McCullough St, Macgregor
  • Round 2 – 27 Feb at Brothers, 103 Crosby Rd, Albion
  • Round 3 – 6 March at Easts, 31 Halifax St, Norman Park
  • Round 4 – 13 March at Wests, 65 Sylvan Rd, Toowong
  • Round 5 – 20 March at Albany Creek, 620 South Pine Rd, Brendale
  • Round 6 – 27 March at Norths, 128-150 Shaw Rd, Wavell Heights


Term 2


In 2022 BJRU commence fifteen-a-side competition for U12, U14, U16 and U18 Girls which is open to all females aged between 11 and 18.  It will be a six round plus finals competition run during May – June.


Clubs do not provide teams, they will be created by BJRU formulating Barbarian sides from nominating players.

Term 3

7’s Rugby

Girls 7s is a Tackle 7s Competition for girls. In 2022 it will run as a 6 Round competition. Games will be played in the same way as in 2021 – ie a gala format at a central venue (or venues, depending on size of competition) on Sunday mornings – afternoon, playing multiple games per round.  All clubs and invited associations are welcome to enter teams.
