About the Queensland Cricketer’s Club

A deal almost a year in the making, Brothers Rugby Club and the Queensland Cricketer’s Club (QCC) have entered a new era of in both organisation’s storied histories.

Helmed by renowned hospitality entrepreneur and QCC Chief Executive, Lachlan Furnell, both the club and QCC have been working around the clock to open not only Crosby’s Bar & Grill, but also build towards activating the entire precinct over the next several years as Brothers enters its next exciting phase.

“The opportunity to partner with Brothers Rugby at Crosby Park, especially following their incredible 30th premiership title, winning back to back flags from 2023 is an honour and a privilege,” said Furnell of the new venture.

“This partnership means the world to us as we endeavour to give back to grass roots sport and assist a wonderful organisations like Brothers to achieve their future goals and be a part of the Club’s evolution,”.

“This new partnership further cements the QCC’s position as Brisbane and Queensland’s premier provider of sports hospitality services, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to be part of the future of grass roots rugby here in Queensland.” he said.

QCC is highly experienced in this space, with the organisation providing high-quality sports hospitality at the Gabba since 1959.  In more recent years QCC has also expanded, and has  established facilities at the Allan Border field at Albion, and the recently renovated Ballymore Stadium.

The offering extends beyond simply operating the restaurant and bars space, with food, nutrition, entertainment, and professional hospitality services now able to be offered from Crosby Park.  This provides the club with further opportunities, including as a support venue for the 2027 and 2029 Rugby World Cups, and the 2032 Olympics.
