For the Brethren, victory over Souths would be enough to secure the 2025 Minor Premiership, but their opponents arrived at Crosby Park determined to spoil the occasion. In challenging wet conditions, the contest became a battle of the forwards, with Brothers’ pack setting the tone early. Leading the charge was Theo Fourie, whose remarkable first-half hat-trick established a commanding platform for the home side. Brothers maintained control throughout, closing out the match with an impressive 29–14 victory to claim top spot on the ladder and secure a berth in the major semi-final. Founders Cup – Premier Women Make it 2 in a row to end the year on a high

Our Premier Women closed out their season in style this weekend with a dominant performance against Souths. Riding the wave of last week’s brilliant display, the team carried their momentum into the final round and it showed from the opening whistle. Brothers ran in tries almost at will, overwhelming a Souths outfit that had no answers for the pace and precision on display. The scoreboard told the story, with a commanding 68–10 victory capping off the year. It was a fitting finale that showcased the skill, determination, and potential within the squad. A positive end to the season, leaving plenty to build on as the team looks ahead to an even bigger 2026 campaign.

Club Recap: Souths almost held to nil in Bola-Kefu Shield victory for brothers

It was an emphatic day for the club with Brothers retaining the Bola-Kefu Shield with a record breaking performance. With Brothers winning 7 of the 8 games played on the day. Second Grade secured a high-scoring 47–31 victory over Souths, sealing their own Minor Premiership in the process. Third Grade followed suit, running riot in a dominant 61–12 win, showcasing attacking flair from start to finish. Fourth Grade were equally ruthless, piling on the points in a 76–10 demolition to lock in yet another Minor Premiership for the club. In the Colts ranks, Colts 1 fell agonizingly short in a 33–31 thriller, while Colts 2 edged a tense 22–19 battle to claim top spot on the ladder. Colts 3 capped off the weekend with a convincing 41–10 triumph — and yet another Minor Premiership to the tally. Four grades finishing as Minor Premiers is a testament to the depth, consistency, and quality across the club. With finals now on the horizon, the Brethren will look to carry this momentum into the post-season and chase more silverware.
