2025 StoreLocal Hospital Cup: Round 18 Brothers vs Souths

The final match day of the regular season set the stage for a decisive showdown to determine the Hospital Cup’s top four. For the Brethren, victory over Souths would be enough to secure the 2025 Minor Premiership, but their opponents arrived at Crosby Park determined to spoil the occasion. In challenging wet conditions, the contest became a battle of the forwards, with Brothers’ pack setting the tone early. Leading the charge was Theo Fourie, whose remarkable first-half hat-trick established a commanding platform for the home side. Brothers maintained control throughout, closing out the match with an impressive 29–14 victory to claim top spot on the ladder and secure a berth in the major semi-final. Attention now turns to next weekend’s clash with Easts, a pivotal fixture in the quest to defend the Hospital Cup for a third consecutive year.
