Dominic ‘Domma’ Fraser scored five tries for Brothers Rugby in First grade’s dominant 51-33 victory over a resurgent Sunnybank on the weekend.

Crosby Park came alive with a quintet of tries to Brothers’ 2023 Grand Final hero Dominic ‘Domma’ Fraser in First grade’s dominant 51-33 victory over a resurgent Sunnybank on the weekend.

The rare achievement puts Fraser as the leading try scorer in the 2024 competition so far on seven five-pointers, with tries in all but one match.

The weekend’s match was an intense affair, with Sunnybank taking an early lead through a pair of intercept tries to Dragon’s flier Junior Laloifi, before Brothers hit back through a hatrick of tries to Fraser and one to Sebastian Hanna before half-time. From there, Brothers and Sunnybank traded scores, with Fraser taking two more and starting Brothers prop George Tuineau taking a brace.

The result was a bounce back to form for the Bretheren, who fell short against the University of Queensland the week prior, moving them back up into second on the ladder behind recurring title rivals, Wests.

Brothers take on Bond University this coming weekend on the 11th of May.
