Wonderful news was delivered yesterday by the Federal Sports Minister the Hon. Bridget McKenzie when she visited the Club today along with our Federal Member Trevor Evans, State Member Tom Nicholls and our Hamilton Ward Councillor David McLachlan.

Minister McKenzie announced that we had been successful with our Federal Community Infrastructure Grant Application which will see us awarded $500,000.

There are many to thank for the huge effort that resulted in our club having what we have been told by government staff, was an outstanding submission.

Special thanks to our Federal Member Trevor Evans and his team for their support and invaluable advice and to Tim Nicholls and David McLachlan for their ongoing support and guidance.

Closer to home I  would like to thank the Chair of our Infrastructure & Development Committee Russell McCart, committee members Matt Kaye & Dan Liddy and development manager John Shepherd (Gallus Partners) for their tireless and focused efforts, without which we would not have been in a position to have been successful with our application.

These funds will now allow us to proceed with Stage 1A of our Crosby Park Masterplan, which includes an upgrade to both playing fields, upgrade of the lights on Vic Walsh Oval and spectator seating on Vic Walsh Oval.
