Brothers Rugby Club is please to inform members that the resolutions at the Extraordinary General Meeting held on Thursday 15th October were unanimous for the affirmative. A similar EGM was held by the Junior Club on Tuesday 13th October with a positive result. This is an historic and exciting step for the Junior and Senior Clubs. It will place Brothers in a stronger and more sustainable position for the future. Our challenges will remain meeting the needs of all members from U6 to Premiers and the usual financial management challenges that face all community clubs.
These resolutions are now binding such that the Clubs will formally amalgamate at the Annual General Meetings which are scheduled for the first week of December 2015 (specific date TBC).
The Clubs will now work very closely to action the strategy and move to the next level of detailed planning for the 2016 season and beyond. We will commence planning and rollout immediately. We will advise outcomes / initiatives from this next phase of planning as they arise.
Additionally the members of the EGM also agreed to appoint Jim Frayne & James Windsor as Life Members of the club. This is a fantastic acheivement to two individuals who have put so much time into the success of Brothers Rugby Club.
Thank you to those who have provided feedback and to those who attended the Information Evenings and the EGM. Thanks also to the Past Presidents & Life Members of both Clubs who have been actively involved throughout recent months.
