Brothers go down to GPS in Round 1 - 27 / Mar / 2018

Brothers v GPS

The clash between Brothers and GPS was a one-sided affair at Crosby Park, with the Gallopers securing a 29-nil win.

The Brethren had control of the match for the opening 15 minutes, but let slip a number of scoring opportunities.

The Gallopers crossed for four tries through lock Oliver Bartlett, winger Eric Vasukicakau, new recruit Jaye Thompson and reserve back Pat Nicholson.

Samoan international Albert Nikoro was on song with the boot after opening up the scoring with a penalty, slotting three from four conversions.
While Brothers won’t be happy with the outcome, it was a special day for club stalwarts Luke Beauchamp and Dallan Murphy, who both notched their 100 Caps for the club.
