Brothers v Bond
Brothers and Bond played out a high scoring match on the Gold Coast in Round 7 of BLK Queensland Premier Rugby, which saw the Brethren claim 41-22 win.
A total of eight tries were scored in the first half, five to Brothers and three to Bond, including doubles to Brothers winger Pierce Fitzgerald and Ropeti Faatuga Moe of Bond, as the fans were treated to some exciting running Rugby.
Brothers’ flyer Mitch Felsman collected his 11th try in six games, continuing an incredible try scoring run as Brothers took a 27-17 lead in to half-time.
The second half was much tighter, Brothers camped themselves inside the Bond red zone for the majority of the half with multiple scrum resets and desperate defence from the home team keeping them in the game.
A yellow card to the home captain, Vitori Buatava, five minutes after the break allowed Brothers to extend their advantage through Sam Grasso, before the scrumhalf collected his own double in the 70th minute, sealing the dominant victory with a similar try to his first.
